The exact form name «高潘壶» is not widely documented in standard catalogues and may be ambiguous — the characters can be read as “high/tall” (高) combined with a personal or family name “Pan” (潘), followed by “teapot” (壶). Because of that uncertainty, the following is a cautious, general description grounded in well-established Chinese teapot traditions.
Brief history: Teapots called 壶 (hu) have a long tradition in Jiangsu’s Yixing region from the late Ming into the Qing dynasty and beyond. Artisans working in zisha (purple clay) developed many named shapes and eponymous variants that reference silhouette, maker, or provenance. Over centuries these forms evolved to serve different brewing styles while emphasizing handcraft, clay behavior, and surface patina.
Short note about the shape: Based on the literal character 高, a “high” or vertically proportioned teapot is suggested — likely a taller-bodied silhouette with a relatively raised shoulder and vertical walls, paired with a balanced spout and handle for comfortable pouring. If 潘 refers to an individual maker or local variant, the piece may carry subtle personal design traits, but without further documentation or an image that can be identified, that attribution remains speculative.
