Lovely, aromatic, early spring wild purple green tea that was harvested as 1 bud, 2
leaves and picked in a remote part of Ha Giang in Northern Vietnam. Purple tea is a
naturally ocurring mutation that occurs in the wild to protect the tea trees from UV
rays. The purple is anthocyanin, which is also present in blackberries, blueberries and
cherries and contributes to the beautiful appearance of these tea leaves which upon
contemplation evoke the changing colors of autumn.
This tea is not only strikingly visual but also surprises for its incredible flavour. You’ll
find this tea to be very aromatic with notes of roses, lychee, grapefruit and lime zest.
This wild -yet elegant- tea is a real treat for the senses!
